Laser Engraving Types
Laser annealing is only work with stainless steel and titanium nitridel. Laser Annealing is a surface heat-tempering mark. The heat effect of the laser beam causes an oxidation process underneath the material’s surface, resulting in a color change on the metal surface. It's depending on type of substrates the one that can absorbed more heat laser can engraved up to 2mm. ABC Laser Engraving can engrave depth beyond .03” on flat, cylindrical, curved surfaces and location unreachable by a CNC or other mechanical engraver. Laser engraving or marking will have some depth but not deep like engraving. This between deep engraving and etching. Both terms are used interchangeably and most people are referring to as finger-nail feeling to the material from the primary source. Laser engraving system is capable cutting various metal types, semi-conductor parts and composite. However, it has some limitation because this is engraving system and not a cutting system. The limitation is thickness of substrate and cutting area size.
