ABC Laser Engraving – Bring Your Own Item (BYO) Policy

ABC Laser Engraving, LLC, doing business as ABC Laser Engraving, welcomes customers to bring their own items and creative ideas for engraving. Whether it’s a personal keepsake, a corporate item, or a unique object, we are happy to work with what you provide — from single pieces to large projects.

1. Customer Responsibility

When you provide your own item:

  • Ensure it is safe, functional, and suitable for engraving.
  • Verify dimensions, material type, and surface conditions before submission.
  • Confirm that the item is free from damage, defects, or contaminants that could interfere with engraving.

The Company is not responsible for pre-existing damage, defects, or material limitations.

2. No Proof or Mock-Up Guarantee

Unless explicitly requested and agreed upon:

  • The Company may not provide a digital proof or mock-up before engraving.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to double-check all details, including spelling, logos, artwork quality, and placement.

Engraving is permanent. Once started, items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded for content errors.

3. Liability and Valuation

  • For customer-supplied items, liability is limited to the engraving service fee.
  • The Company is not responsible for the replacement value of items provided by the customer, including high-value or irreplaceable items.
  • Customers submitting valuable or sentimental items should consider insurance.

4. Acceptance & Condition

  • The Company reserves the right to refuse any item deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or incompatible with our laser engraving process.
  • Items must be delivered in a condition that allows proper engraving without risk to equipment or personnel.

5. Shipping & Handling for BYO Items

  • Customers are responsible for safe delivery to the Company if items are shipped.
  • The Company is not liable for shipping damage, lost packages, or delays.
  • Turnaround begins once the item is received and approved for engraving.

6. Encouragement & Creative Collaboration

We love helping customers bring ideas to life. Almost any item can be engraved if it’s suitable for the laser process. We work with your creative concepts, custom designs, and special materials to produce a finished piece that is both personal and professional.

7. Confirmation

By submitting a customer-supplied item, you acknowledge and accept the terms above, including:

  • Limited liability
  • Responsibility for content accuracy
  • No guarantee of mock-up unless arranged
  • Final sale of engraved items
