ABC Laser Engraving -Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is your turnaround time?

For customer-supplied (BYO) items, standard turnaround is 1–3 business days, excluding holidays, after we receive the item and confirm engraving details.

For online/ecommerce orders, turnaround time is typically 1–7 business days, depending on product availability and order volume. Production begins after full payment and artwork confirmation.

Shipping time is separate from production time.

Rush service may be available for an additional fee, depending on workload and project scope.


2. Do you provide proofs before engraving?

Proofs are optional and available for an additional $15 fee, which includes one revision.

If a proof is requested, production begins only after approval.

If no proof is requested, artwork is engraved exactly as submitted. Customers are responsible for verifying spelling, layout, and design accuracy before submission.


3. Can I bring my own item to engrave?

Yes. We welcome customer-supplied items — including old, raw, or previously used items — provided they are safe and suitable for laser engraving.

Liability for customer-supplied items is limited to the engraving service fee. We are not responsible for the replacement value of high-value, rare, or sentimental items.


4. What type of artwork works best?

High-resolution (300 DPI or higher), black and white, high-contrast artwork works best.

Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, DXF, PLT) provide the highest precision. Color artwork, gradients, and low-resolution images do not translate accurately to engraving.


5. Can you engrave photos?

Yes, provided the image is high-resolution and high-contrast. Results depend heavily on image quality and material type.

Low-resolution or heavily filtered photos may not produce clear engraving results.


6. Do you offer design or editing services?

Yes. We offer professional design and artwork preparation services if your file requires cleanup, conversion, or layout adjustment. Design services are billed separately at current market rates.


7. Are engraved items refundable?

All custom or engraved items are final sale.

Refunds are issued only if ABC Laser Engraving makes a verified production error. We do not issue refunds for customer spelling errors, change of mind, personal preference, carrier delays, or weather-related disruptions.


8. What is your workmanship guarantee?

ABC Laser Engraving guarantees production accuracy based on the approved or submitted design.

If we make a verified engraving error (wrong text, incorrect item, or layout not matching the approved file), we will, at our discretion:

  • Re-engrave the item
  • Replace the item (if supplied by us)
  • Refund the engraving service fee or item price

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Claims must be submitted within 3 business days of confirmed delivery with photos and order details.


9. What happens if shipping is delayed?

Once an order is transferred to the carrier, delivery timing is outside of our control. We are not responsible for carrier delays, weather disruptions, lost packages, or missed delivery attempts.

Refunds will not be issued due to shipping delays.


10. Can I cancel my order?

Orders may be cancelled within 1 business day if production has not started.

Once production begins, cancellations are not permitted.


11. Do you accept small or large orders?

Yes. We accept single-item orders as well as bulk and corporate projects. No minimum order is required.
